train crossing railroad tracks at nightGLENDALE, AZ – Glendale Police say a man was critically injured after being struck by a train on Wednesday night.

According to a report by ABC 15, the man was attempting to cross Myrtle Avenue near 59th Street when he was hit by an oncoming train.

The unidentified victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the man was not at a designated crossing when the incident occurred.
