Teenager Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Avondale Tuesday

AVONDALE, AZ – A teen was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the street in Avondale last night, 12 News reports.
Police say the 14-year-old victim was crossing at El Mirage Road and Pima Street when he was hit at about 7:22 p.m.
The unidentified teen was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unclear if any criminal charges will be filed in connection to the deadly collision.
