Phillips Law Group Begins Partnership with Cloud Covered Streets

The team at Phillips Law Group has a heart for helping the homeless in the Phoenix, Arizona community, and thanks to a new partnership with Cloud Covered Streets, volunteers with the firm can make more of a difference than ever in the lives of people living on the streets of the Valley.

On July 10, Phillips joined Cloud Covered Streets in an outreach event that is set to repeat every month to help the homeless in our community. Cloud Covered Streets is a 501c3 nonprofit with the goal of providing “hope, compassion, kindness, connection, and essential supplies to those experiencing homelessness.” That aligns well with Phillips Law Group’s own dedication to helping the homeless through the firm’s Feeding Arizona events. 

At the July event, volunteers served 100 breakfast burritos with coffee to a number of individuals and provided more than 35 haircuts to the homeless. People who attended the event were also given dress shirts for both men and women, and the volunteers also gave away feminine hygiene products and other toiletries to those in need. 

Plus, as a way to beat the heat, snow cones were provided to anyone in attendance who wanted one!

As much as Phillips Law Group is committed to clients who come to the firm seeking help with legal matters, we are also proud to serve the community, too. The firm is passionate about giving back to the community in many ways throughout the year, and its own Feeding Arizona events are organized often to assist the homeless population on the streets of Phoenix. 

At Feeding Arizona events, volunteers from Phillips Law Group alongside family, friends, and other volunteers give out food, hygienic products, clothes like socks, hats, and shirts, and more. People helping out at these events also often provide the homeless with haircuts, manicures, and facials – making this new partnership with an organization that offers many of the same services a perfect match!

Cloud Covered Streets brings a mobile unit straight to the unhoused population in the Phoenix community and provides showers, laundry services, haircuts, clothing, supplies, and other services and items. The organization also offers assistance with filling out job applications, updating resumes, or contacting loved ones via email at their specialized trailer. 

By combining forces at these monthly events, Phillips Law Group and Cloud Covered Streets can help more individuals and offer similar services together. Members of the firm are excited about the possibilities of the new partnership and all the two groups can offer to a population in need.
